Ervin Wesley Davis

Ervin Wesley Davis, 93, of Ramseur, died Thursday, June 11, 2020, at Universal Healthcare in Ramseur. Ervin was born on March 4, 1927, in Montgomery Co., to the late Joseph and Ida Williams Davis. He was a retired insurance salesman. He enjoyed listening to music, and playing the guitar and banjo. In addition to his parents, Ervin was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Marie McPherson; and his siblings. He is survived by his daughters, Carolyn Marie Davis of Asheboro, Shirley Davis Suits and husband Eddie of Staley, Deborah Davis Braddock of Asheboro; sons, Ronald Ervin Davis and wife Melynda of Seagrove, Steven Ray Davis and wife Brenda of Asheboro; 14 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Due to restrictions on group gatherings, a private funeral service will be held at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, with Pastor Daniel Delaney officiating. Burial will follow at Farmer Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
