Ernest M. Wilson

Mr. Ernest Martin Wilson, 66, of Asheboro, NC, died Sunday, May 12, 2013, at Randolph Hospital. A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at St John's Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Ryman officiating. A native of Davidson County, NC, Mr. Wilson was born January 27, 1947. He was retired from GARCO, Inc. and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where he was a member of the church council and was in charge of scheduling ushers. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, and was a NASCAR fan. He served in the US Army during Vietnam. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his father, Foy Martin Wilson and step-grandson, Parker Gage Shelton. Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Joan Shoe Wilson, of the home; daughters, Stephanie Wilson Fountain and husband, Roger, of Archdale, NC, Tiffanie Wilson Roach and husband, Eric, of Lexington, NC, sons, Anthony Wilson, of High Point, NC, Allen Wilson and wife, Mary, of Lexington, NC, Dustin Wilson and wife, Hannah, of Salisbury, NC; step-daughter, Joy Shelton Klenke and husband, Scott, of Greensboro, NC; step-son, Jeremy Shelton and wife, Kasey, of Asheboro, NC; mother, Vauter Mae James Wilson, of Mocksville; brother, David Wilson, of High Point; sisters, Gloria Anderson and husband, David, of Mocksville, Vee Proctor and husband, Lee, of Charlotte; 14 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
