Ernest A. Shaw

Ernest Alvin Shaw, 82, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:30 p.m., Sunday, September 20, 2015, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Edwards and Rev. Todd Leach officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. A native of Randolph County, Mr. Shaw was born October 21, 1932 to the late Alvin and Merle Shaw. He was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church and was U.S. Army Veteran. Mr. Shaw had been employed with Hedgecock Building Supply and Asheboro Block Plant. Mr. Shaw is survived by his wife, Doris Shaw of the home; daughter, Treva Henderson of Asheboro; brother, Ronald Shaw and wife, Carolyn of Asheboro, granddaughter, Lisa Bullins and husband, Travis of Hubert; and nephew, Allen Shaw of Asheboro. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
