Ernest Harrelson

Ernest "Junior" Harrelson, Jr., 76, of Asheboro, died Saturday, May 6, 2017 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. No services are scheduled. Mr. Harrelson was born May 19, 1940 in Randolph County. He was retired from Kennametal Inc. Mr. Harrelson enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He was an avid NASCAR fan and his favorite driver was Darrell Waltrip. He is survived by his soul mate and caregiver, Linda Harrelson of the home; son, Matthew Ernest Harrelson of the home; sister, Jearlene Bowman and husband, Ricky of Mt. Airy; brothers, Arthur Harrelson of Asheboro, David Eugene Harrelson of Kansas City, MS, William Poindexter and wife, Vicki of Franklinville; brother-in-law, Mike Barnett and wife, Connie of High Point; and several nieces and nephews.
