Erie L. Honney

Mrs. Erie Myrtle Luther Honney, 95, of Asheboro, NC, died Monday, December 2, 2013, at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, with Rev. Garland Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Honney was born September 1, 1918. She was the daughter and youngest of ten children born to the late Charlie Luther and Sarah Jane Luther. Mrs. Honney was retired from Pinehurst Textiles. She was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church and the Eastview Garden Club. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Honney was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Leoland Honney; daughter, Dorothy Coleene Davis; and son, Rex Honney. Mrs. Honney is survived by son-in-law, Charles Davis, of Winston-Salem; daughter in law, Betty Honney, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Shelia Livengood and husband, Eddie, of Winston-Salem, Jeff W. Davis and wife, Jennifer, of Suffolk, VA, Duane Ted Honney and wife, Shannon, of Charleston, SC; great grandchildren, Taylor Honney, Savannah Livengood, Marc Davis, Caroline Honney, Madison Davis, Patrick Honney and Chase Davis. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
