Emory Columbus Miller, Jr., 89, of Randleman, died Sunday, June 6, 2021. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 10, 2021, at West Chapel United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Scott Ferguson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors being provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. The service will be livestreamed on Ridge Funeral Home's official Facebook page. Born March 14, 1932, in Randolph Co., NC, Mr. Miller was the son of the late Emory C. Miller, Sr., and Mary Jane Barnette Miller. Emory worked for C.W. Henley as a teenager and later served in the US Army as a Radio Technician at Ft. Bragg. He then moved to Randleman and opened Miller Electronics. He was a member of Carolinians Gospel Quartet, a professional bowler being a member of the P.B.A., was an audiophile, and a lifelong fan of classical music. In addition to his parents, Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his sisters, Martha Jane Miller, Marilyn Bunting; brothers, Noel Jack Miller, Larry Miller, and Bill Miller. Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Dorothy Ferguson Miller of the home; daughter, Diana Ingle and husband Gregg of Bermuda Run, NC; son, Tony Miller and wife Theresa of Asheboro; sisters, Joyce Skeen, Beverly Miller, Nancy Miller, all of Asheboro; brothers, J.W. Miller, Charles Miller, both of Asheboro, Don Miller of Newton; grandson, Andy Ingle and wife Kellie; great grandchildren, Emersyn Ingle and Abigail Ingle. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., Thursday, at the church prior to the service.
