Emmett Marine

Mr. Emmett Woodrow "Buddy" Marine, 62, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, September 26, 2014, at his home. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm Saturday, October 4, 2014, at North Ridge Church, Asheboro, NC. A native of McDowell County, WV, Mr. Marine was born June 15, 1952. He was the son of the late Emmett Woodrow Marine and Georgia Lake Shoemaker Marine. He loved sports and music. He loved his family, his grandkids and his dogs. In addition to his parents, Mr. Marine was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Marine. Mr. Marine is survived by his daughter, Megan Shortridge and husband, Robbie, of Asheboro, NC; son, Joshua Marine, of Chicago, Il; ex-wife, Helen Marine, of Chicago, Il; sister, Lora Brewer, of Omar, WV; brothers, Haven Marine, of Asheboro, NC, Michael Marine, of Omar, WV; granddaughters, Arabella and Ivy Shortridge.
