Emma Beane King

Emma Martisha Beane King, 88, of Asheboro, died Sunday, May 10, 2015 at her home. A funeral sevice will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Johnny Ray Gardner officiating. Burial will follow at Suggs Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Star. A native of Randolph County, Mrs. King was born June 18, 1926 to the late Benjamin Franklin and Cora Newsom Beane. She was a homemaker who loved gardening, animals and spending time with family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. King was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Elroy King; son, Randy Franklin King; and sister, Mary Holden Williams. Mrs King is survived by her son, Roy B. King of Ramseur; two grandsons, Tony King of Bangkok, Thailand, Brian Lee King of Asheboro; and one great-grandchild, Brandon Richardson. The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204.
