Emily Swaney Auman

Emily Joy Swaney Auman, 44, of Asheboro, died Sunday, October 18, 2020, at High Point Medical Center in High Point. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at Rushwood Church, with Dr. Brent Tysinger and Pastor Jason Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery. Emily was born on June 22, 1976, in Randolph County. She was formerly employed as office manager at Guardian Self Storage. She was a member of Rushwood Church where she would help with the "Rushwood Kids". Emily loved spending time with her children who were her everything. She was preceded in death by her father, Claude Edward Swaney, Jr.; brother, Claude Jeffery Swaney; sister, Roxy Jane Trogdon; grandparents, Bessie and Claude Swaney Sr., and Thelma and Lonnie Marion. Surviving are her husband, Kevin Auman of the home; daughters, Audee Auman, Ree-Anna Auman, and Daylin Auman, all of the home; mother, Nancy Marion Swaney of Asheboro; mother-in-law, Becky Graves and husband Eugene of Asheboro; father-in-law, Darrell Auman and wife Lisa of Randleman; nephew, Justin Trogdon of Trinity; great nephews, Ty Trogdon, Bryce Trogdon, Cade Lebow, Zachary Rojas; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. The body will lie in state from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at the church prior to the service.
