Emery 'Tiny' Richardson

Emery Keith "Tiny" Richardson, 90, of Pleasant Garden and formerly of Randleman, died Monday, October 22, 2018 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home in Pleasant Garden. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 5, 2018, at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro. Officiating will be Rev. Bud Rowe. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. A native of Randolph Co., NC, Mr. Richardson was born October 16, 1928, the son of the late Bennie and Dovie Jane Cooper Richardson. He was retired from Commonwealth Hosiery. He enjoyed watching football and baseball, and was an avid lover of rabbit hunting. Mr. Richardson had served in the US Army Air Corp, where he was an engineer. In addition to his parents, Mr. Richardson was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Jane Dorsett Richardson; sisters, Colleen Warren, Ruth Sink, Neva Griffin; brothers, Tom Richardson, Donald Lee Richardson, and Bruce Cooper. He is survived by his children, Judy Mae Whitaker and husband, Vernon, of Climax, Johnny Mack DeSota and wife, Kristie, of Climax, Jane Bridges and husband, Bill, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Jessica Whitaker Suits, Douglas Keith Whitaker, Erica DeSota Mena, Patrick Odell DeSota, Erin Bridges Forsythe, Matthew Bridges, David Bridges; and 12 great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Randolph County Honor Guard, PO Box 1672, Asheboro, NC 27204.
