Elsie Johnson Scott

Mrs. Elsie Marie Johnson Hudson Scott, 88, of Asheboro, NC, died Monday, August 5, 2013, at Woodland Hills Care & Rehabilitation Center. A native of Wilkes County, NC, Mrs. Scott was born February 2, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Charles S. Hudson and Sunie Elms Hudson. She was retired from Centel. Mrs. Scott was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, where she attended prior to her illness. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ed Johnson, her second husband, Herbert Scott, and her three brothers. She was a woman of great faith and character who loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Scott is survived by son, Lee Johnson, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Amy Johnson, of San Diego, CA, Chip Johnson and family, of Asheboro, and former daughter-in-law, Sue Clark, who cared for her through out her lengthy illness. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Thursday, August 8, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home. There will be a committal service following the visitation at 8:00 pm conducted by Rev. Boyd Byerly.
