Elsie Trotter Hill

Mrs. Elsie Evelyn Trotter Hill, of Asheboro, NC, died Thursday, November 6, 2014, at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, November 9, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Garner and Rev. Junior Summey officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Shepherd United Methodist Church in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Hill was the daughter of the late Robert Franklin Trotter and Ida McDowell Trotter. She was retired from Sara Lee Corporation. She enjoyed embroidering, crocheting, doing word puzzles, and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Hill and son, Mickey W. Hill. Mrs. Hill is survived by her daughters, India Briles and husband, Wendell, of Asheboro, Gail Davis and husband, Rick, of Asheboro; granddaughters, Karen Adams and husband, Ed, of Asheboro, Kayla Davis, of Asheboro; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Saturday, November 8, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home for the care given to Elsie.
