Elsie Fisher

Elsie Virginia Isom Fisher, 88, of Asheboro, NC, died Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services, 3:00 p.m., Friday, June 1, 2018, at South Asheboro Church of God, where she was a member, with Bishop Alex Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery. A native of Guilford Co., NC, Mrs. Fisher was born December 24, 1929, the daughter of the late Richard and Elizabeth Rogers Isom. She was a homemaker, loved her family, her church and her flowers. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fisher was preceded in death by her husband, Royce E. Fisher; daughter, Sherry Fisher; son, Ricky Fisher; brothers, R.W. Isom, David Isom; and sisters, Ellen Dawkins, Ella Thompson and Evelyn Bowman. Survivors include her daughter, Vicky Lawson and husband, James, of Coleridge; sons, Terry Fisher and wife, Faye, David Fisher and wife, Charlene, all of Asheboro; sister, Esther Surrette, of Asheboro, Glenda Gregory, of Archdale, Mary Brady, of Asheboro; brothers, Sonny Isom and wife, Dot, Pete Isom and wife, Penny, all of Asheboro; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home, and other times at the home of her brother, Pete Isom.
