Ellen Presnell

Ellen Presnell, 75, of Asheboro, was granted her angel wings on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 17, 2017, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lee Carter and Pastor Dale Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain of Faith Christian Church Cemetery. A native of Randolph County, Mrs. Presnell was born October 27, 1941, the daughter of the late William and Clara Mae Swaney. She graduated from Farmer High School and worked at both Walker Shoes and Bossong Hosiery. Mrs. Presnell retired from Walmart. She was a loving mother, wife and companion. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Presnell was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Presnell; and a infant son, William David Presnell. Mrs. Presnell is survived by her loving companion, Harvey Butcher; sons, Tony Presnell and Karen, Randy Presnell and wife, Michelle, all of Asheboro; sister, Carolyn Cox and husband, Gary of Sophia; brother, Winfred Swaney and wife, Mary of Asheboro; grandchildren, Hannah Mullins and husband, Chris, their children, Keegan and Kaylynn, Jennifer Presnell Smith, her children, Gunner and Dallas, Josh Presnell and wife, Samantha, their children, Emily and Ryan, Logan Presnell, Nick Presnell, his child, Gunner, and Daniel Schadt and fiancée, Amber their children, Braxton and Ayden. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of Tony Presnell.
