Elizabeth Lura Robbins

Elizabeth Lura Robbins, 90, of Asheboro, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 14, 2019, at Robbins Family Cemetery, Sophia, with Rev. Hubert McLeod officiating. Born at home to Nora and Manley Robbins on May 22, 1929. She was a beautiful, inspiring, sweet Christian woman, a wonderful mother, and she raised ten children. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her children, Ellie Mae, Richard, Billy Joe, and George. Surviving are her children, Teresa Sheffield of Seven Lakes, Linda Sheffield of Asheboro, Lee Currie and husband Keith of Candor, Diana Nguyen and husband Huong of Charlotte, Howard Sheffield, Jr., of West End, John Sheffield of Star; sisters, Sarah Sheffield of Asheboro, Edith Kern of Denton; grandchildren, Tracy, Sharon, Jimmy, Kimberly, Brian, Kim, Pacy, Rocky, Michael, Julie; great grandchildren, Christian, Becky, Elijah, Trinity, Adian, Lex, NuNu, Elizabeth, JJ, Nathan, Hailey, Kayla, Anthony; great-great grandchildren, Milo, Nalha, Abigail, Adrian, Isabel, Noah, Daniel, Topanga, Christian, Lotus. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2019.
