Elizabeth Irene Morton Owens, 61, of Asheboro, died Friday, June 3, 2016 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Owens and her husband, Ivan who died on May 27, 2016, at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Richland Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Born July 30, 1954 in Randolph County, Mrs. Owens was the daughter of the late Robert William and Leta Barnes Morton. She is survived by her daughter, Shawna Owens Wicker and husband, Maurice, of Siler City; son, William Ivan Owens of Asheboro; sister, Pat M. Way and husband, Jimmy, of Asheboro; brother, Wayne Morton and wife, Linda, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Megan Nicole Owens, William Nathaniel Owens, Joseph Allen Wicker; great-granddaughter, Mallory Leigh Wicker; and several nieces and nephews.
