Elizabeth Smith Gearren

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth "Lib"� Smith Gearren, 77, of Asheboro, NC, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, April 13, 2013, at West Chapel United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with Dr. Robin G. Dixon, Sr. and Pastor Ralph Voncannon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Gearren was born December 18, 1935. She was the daughter of the late William Oscar Smith and Primmie Browder Smith. She was retired from Burlington Industries and enjoyed cooking, canning, bowling and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Gearren. Mrs. Gearren is survived by her daughters, Lisa Lamb and husband, Mark, of Randleman, NC, Julie Wright and husband, Bobby, of Asheboro, NC; son, Steve Gearren and wife, Peri, of Jackson Creek, NC; grandchildren, Chad Martin and wife, Sheri, of Asheboro, NC, Todd Copeland, of Asheboro, NC, Ben Gearren, of Trinity, NC, Seth Gearren, of Apex, NC, Lauryn and Gracie Wright, both of Asheboro, NC; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Copeland, of Lockport, NY, Houston and Reese Martin, both of Asheboro, NC, Gage and Macayla Copeland, both of Asheboro, NC; sisters, Virginia Cox, of Ramseur, NC, Doris Voncannon and husband, Ralph, of Asheboro, NC, Barbara Davis and husband, Clay, of Seagrove, NC, Faye York and husband, Ralph, of Asheboro, NC; brothers, Harold Smith and wife, Mary Alice, of Franklinville, NC, Roger Smith, of Asheboro, NC, J.W. "Bud" Smith and wife, Vera, of Asheboro, NC; . The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, April 12, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, 1655 Staley's Farm Road, Asheboro, NC.
