Edna Vuncannon Wilson

Mrs. Edna Onell Vuncannon Wilson, 92, of 7166 Jordan Road, Ramseur, formerly of 3003 Old Liberty Road, Randleman, died Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Universal Healthcare in Ramseur. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at Amity Hills Baptist Church with the Rev. Barry Wall officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Born on September 6, 1917, in Randolph County, Mrs. Wilson was the daughter of the late Dugan and Lula Underwood Vuncannon. She attended Amity Hills Baptist Church and was retired from B.B. Walker Shoe Company. Surviving are daughter, Judy W. Wilson and husband, Lloyd, of Asheboro; son, Cecil Wilson and wife, Mary, of Randleman; sister, Ruth V. Beck and husband, Rufus, of Seagrove; brother, George Vuncannon and wife, Celia, of Randleman; sister-in-law, Dolly Vuncannon, of Randleman; grandchildren, Debbie Lester, Jeff Wilson, Barry Wilson and wife, Albrey, Dana Wilson; great grandchildren, Stephanie Lester, Stephen Lester, Bryan Sheldon, and Arron Wilson. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 7:00 until 9:00 pm on Monday, April 19, 2010, and other times at 3003 Old Liberty Road, Asheboro. Memorials may be made to Amity Hills Baptist Church, Mission Fund, 4140 US Hwy 64 West, Asheboro, NC 27205; or to the March of Dimes, NC Chapter, 6504 Falls of Neuse Road, Suite 100, Raleigh, NC 27615.
