Edna Echerd Lowrance

Mrs. Edna Olivia Echerd Lowrance, 89, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, August 17, 2012, at Universal Health Care in Ramseur. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Friday, August 24, 2012, at St John's Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Ryman officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Iredell County, NC, Mrs. Lowrance was born April 4, 1923. She was the daughter of the late John Meadows Echerd and Esther Robinette Echerd. She retired as a magistrate for Randolph County and a former board member of the Randolph County Board of Elections. Mrs. Lowrance was a member of St. John Lutheran Church for over 50 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. A. Lowrance, Jr. Mrs. Lowrance is survived by daughters, Jackie Luria and husband, Alan, of Asheboro, NC, Julie Lowrance and Chris Miller, of Beaufort, SC, Janet Kaplan and husband, Neil, of Bel Air, MD; and grandsons, Josh Luria, Ethan Kaplan, Zachary Kaplan. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Thursday, August 23, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 505 S.
