Edna Cole Hayes

Edna Cole Hayes, 87, of Asheboro, passed away December 12, 2025, at the Randolph Hospice House.

A funeral service will be held on at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Boyd Byerly officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Christian Church Cemetery, Seagrove.

Born on December 30, 1937, to the late Columbus and Ethel Cole. Edna loved the Lord her whole life. She was beloved by all who knew her. Edna had many hobbies, including reading, puzzles, and especially babysitting. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and her favorite thing of all was spending quality time with her family. She will be deeply missed by her loved ones.

In addition to her parents, Edna is preceded in death by her husband, John "Ted" Hayes; son, Tracy T. Hayes; and eight siblings.

Ms. Hayes is survived by her daughters, Angella H. Williams of Asheboro, Teresa H. Dezern (Perry) of Archdale, and Wanda H. Beck (Vance) of Bland, VA; sister, Wilma Jones of Euless, TX; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 12:45 to 1:45, at Ridge Funeral Home prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, 446 Vision Drive, Asheboro, 27203.
