Edna Graves

Edna Lee Chriscoe Graves, 80, of Randleman, died Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Universal Healthcare in Ramseur. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2015, at Big Oak Church of God in Star, with Pastor Joyce Bunn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born in Randolph County, NC, on June 1, 1934, Mrs. Graves was the daughter of the late Simon Peter Chriscoe and Nova Connie Beane Chriscoe. She was retired from Kayser Roth and enjoyed fishing. She was an avid sports fan who loved the UNC Tarheels and the Atlanta Braves. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Graves was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Richard Graves; sisters, Betty Greene and Eva Mae Chriscoe; and brothers, Howard Chriscoe and Charlie Beane. Surviving are her daughters, Connie Barker and husband, Rickey, of Randleman, Peggy Kellam Garren, of Sophia; sons, Richard Graves and Joyce, of Sophia, Carl Graves and wife, Ruth Ann, of Asheboro; brother, Vern Dee Chriscoe, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Sandy Whitehead, Chris Barker, Mindy Graves, Toni Graves, Marcus Graves, Scotty York; great-grandchildren, Blake Barker, Cara Barker, Austin Whitehead, Carson Whitehead, Brody Pierce, Hailey York and Tiffany York. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of Connie and Rickey Barker.
