Mr. Edsel "Ed" Reeder, 84, of Randleman, NC, died Friday, September 24, 2010, at Randolph Hospital. A memorial service is scheduled on Sunday, September 26, 2010, at 4:00 pm at the Randleman Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 4053 Brookwood Acres Drive, Randleman, NC, where he was a member. A native of Moore County, NC, Mr. Reeder was born August 18, 1926. He was the son of the late Thomas Dalton Reeder and Emma Elizabeth Brown Reeder. Ed was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on March 23, 1952, and he faithfully served in several congregations. He enjoyed several privileges of service and assisted a lot of friends in their service to Jehovah. He also enjoyed serving with the Regional Building Committee in constructing numerous Kingdom Halls of Jehovah's Witnesses in several cities and states. Mr. Reeder served in the US Navy. Mr. Reeder is survived by his wife of 63 years, Zelma Miller Reeder, of the home; daughters, Patricia Wilson and husband, Larry, of Raphine, VA, Karen Farlow and husband, Rodney, of Concord, NC, Amy Wagner and husband, Steve, of Winston-Salem, NC; sister, Norma Wazenegger and husband, Harold, of Randleman, NC; five grandchildren, Matthew Wilson, Lydia Santangelo and husband, Jeremy, Jared Wilson and wife, Hilde, Nathan Wilson and wife, Rachel, Jesiah Wagner; four great grandchildren, Carolina and Emily Tomlin, Micah Santangelo; Cole Wilson; many nieces and nephews and a large spiritual family whom he loved very much.
