Mr. Edmond Philip Beck, 84, formerly of 603 E. Presnell St, Asheboro, NC, died Monday, May 03, 2010, at Graybrier Nursing & Retirement Center, Trinity. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, May 7, 2010, at Victory Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Larry Allen and the Rev. David Schwartz officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Beck was a native of Moore County and was retired from Pinehurst Textile and Caraway Speedway. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Aner Cockman Beck, his brother, Bill Beck, and his sisters, Maggie Trotter, Alice Setzer and Virginia Jones. Mr. Beck had served in the US Army during the Korean War. Survivors include his son, Michael Paschal, of Asheboro; brother, Rufus Junior Beck, of Seagrove; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including niece and caregiver, Marie Beck Beane, of Seagrove; and his extended family and friends. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 6, 2010, and other times at the home of Marie Beane, 1141 Chrisco Rd, Seagrove.
