Douglas Andrew Eaker

Douglas Andrew Eaker, Jr., 72, of Asheboro, died Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, July 20, 2015, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Mr. Eaker was born September 30, 1942 in San Diego, CA. He was a graduate of Cary High School and was retired from the US Army Reserves. he was currently employed with GS Materials Transportation. He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Andrew Eaker, Sr.; and his wife, Sylvia T. Eaker. Survivors include his sons, Mike Eaker of Fuquay Varina and Keith Eaker of Randleman; mother, Lena Mae Eaker of Apex; brothers, Russell Eaker and wife, Debbie of Fuquay Varina, Greg Eaker and wife, Peggy of Angier; grandchildren, Drew Eaker, Megan Eaker, Colton Eaker, Becky Eaker and Bobby Eaker. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2015, prior to the service at the funeral home.
