Dorothy G. Mcneill

Mrs. Dorothy Lee Garner McNeill, 94, of Asheboro, NC, went home to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on Sunday, March 18, 2012, at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Forest Park Baptist Church with Rev. Jon Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Moore County, NC, Mrs. McNeill was born October 6, 1917. She was the daughter of the late James Oscar Garner and Lydia Ann Williams Garner. She retired from General Electric in March, 1980, after 28 years of service and was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McNeill was preceded in death by her husband, John Dewey McNeill, her sisters, Beulah Williams, Marie Owens and Odessa Green, and her brother, Cecil Garner. Mrs. McNeill is survived by her son, Jerry McNeill and wife, Willa Robinson McNeill, of Matthews, NC; brothers, Elmo "Bud"� Garner, Jimmy Garner, Willie "Bill"� Garner, all of Robbins, NC; granddaughter, Kimberly Dale McNeill and husband, Miles Tihansky. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Forest Park Baptist Church.
