Dorothy Stone Laughlin

Mrs. Dorothy Mae Stone Laughlin, 85, of Randleman, NC, died Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at Woodland Hills Care & Rehabilitation Center. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, February 11, 2012, at Randolph Memorial Park with Rev. Arnold Luther officiating. A native of Wilkes County, NC, Mrs. Laughlin was born July 8, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Elbert Stone and Eva Higgins Stone Bodycote. She was retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse from Randolph Hospital. She enjoyed sewing and alterations as well as crocheting. She took great pleasure in helping others. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, D. Leonard Laughlin, and her brothers, Lloyd Hillary Stone and Joseph Stone. Mrs. Laughlin is survived by son, David Laughlin and wife, Cynthia, of Randleman, NC; grandchildren, David Leland Laughlin, Stephanie Laughlin Wilson and husband, Marcus; great grandchildren, Cynthia Carolyn Laughlin, David Leland Laughlin, Jr., and Lenna Kay Wilson. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, February 10, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
