Dorothy Lee Kearns "Dot" Hill, 89, of Asheboro, died Thursday, March 22, 2018 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Craig Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Born June 16, 1928 in Mecklenburg County, Mrs. Hill was the daughter of the late Robert and Willie Kearns. She was a member of the United Church of God. In her early years, Mrs. Hill worked as a LPN at Randolph Hospital and later went to work in the furniture industry at Carel Company. She loved her cats and music. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Hill; sister, Juanita Wood; brother, Sherman Kearns; grandson, John Isaacs; and son-in-law, Kenny Parker. Survivors include her daughter, Doris H. Parker of Asheboro; sons, Vernon Ray Hill and wife, Rachel of Asheboro, Edward Hill and wife, Tina of Asheboro; grandchildren, Adam Parker and wife, Gena, Jeremy Parker, Jennifer Allred, Veronica Isaacs, Melissa McDonald; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Parker, Zachary Fenti, Jessica Fenti, Josh Allred, Tyler Allred, Dustin Cagle; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, at Ridge Funeral Home.
