Dorothy Louise Henderson

Dorothy Louise Dorsey Henderson, 90, formerly of Randleman, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Randolph Health and Rehabilitation Center in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 30, 2017, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Billy Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Born June 19, 1927 in Gaston County, Mrs. Henderson was the daughter of the late John and Alma Dorsey. She retired from J.P. Stevens and was a member of Bailey's Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Edward Henderson, Sr.; son, Wendell Edward Henderson, Jr.; sisters, Geneva D. Ramsey, Edna Joyce Dorsey, Carol June Dorsey Leonhardt; and brother, James Dorsey. Survivors include her daughters, Sue Jacobs of Randleman, Barbara Lynn Henderson of Randleman, Debbie Ann Beck and husband, Jeff of Asheboro; sisters, Alberta Dorsey Taylor of Lincolnton, Caleen Dorsey Hawkins of Lincolnton, Shelby Dorsey Ellis of Lenoir, Rosielee Dorsey Shuford of Greenville, and Marylee Dorsey Smith of Nashville; and brothers, Chrisley Junior Dorsey of Cherryville and Billy Ray Dorsey of Vale. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchlidren including her grandsons, Brian Henderson and Chad Poindexter and great-granddaughter, Persephone Poindexter, who she helped raise; and several great-great-grandchilren The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. Friday at Ridge Funeral Home, prior to the service.
