Dorothy Jarrell Cagle

Dorothy "Dot" Mae Jarrell Cagle, 85, of Asheboro, died Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Rev. Frank Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at West Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Born in Randolph County, NC, on April 26, 1933, Mrs. Cagle was the daughter of the late Walter Franklin Jarrell and Alice Lamb Jarrell. She attended Mountain View Independent Methodist Church. Mrs. Cagle was a homemaker and she loved to cook. She also loved doing things for others, especially her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cagle was preceded in death by her husband, Craig Cagle, infant daughter, Mary Ruth Cagle, one sister, and 6 brothers. Surviving are her daughters, Betty Ann Cagle, Nancy Cagle, and Lois Cagle, all of the home; son, William Cagle and wife, Tina, of Asheboro; sister, Judy Lamar and husband, Mike, of Asheboro; brother, Larry Jarrell, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Matthew Cagle, Holly Ward and husband, Mike, all of Asheboro. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m., Friday, October 12, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
