Doris Clark Jarrell

Mrs. Ina Doris Clark Jarrell, 79, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Reaves officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Guilford County, NC, Mrs. Jarrell was born August 8, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Daniel Archie Clark and Ina Sirona Pierce Clark. She was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. She was a musician, sang and played guitar. She loved God, her family and friends. She enjoyed watching Charles Stanley on TV, had a great sense of humor, was compassionate, and very generous. She loved helping others and was known as "Mama Doris" to everyone. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Garland H. Jarrell, sister, DeEtte Clanton; and brother, Terry Clark. Mrs. Jarrell is survived by her daughters, Denna J. Coltrane, of Asheboro, NC, Sherlene J. Ferguson and husband, Barry, of Liberty, NC, Linda Jarrell, of Asheboro, NC, Kathy J. Porter and husband, Jim, of Sophia, NC; sisters, Iris "Bo-D" Morgan and husband, Jennings, Kay Outen, all of Asheboro, NC; brothers, Kenneth "Kessie" Clark and wife, Pat, Eugene "Shaker" Clark and wife, Jan, Ronnie Clark, all of Asheboro, NC; brother-in-law, Earl Clanton, Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Lindsay Hylton and husband, Nick, Whitney Smith and husband, Ben, Casey Jarrell, Jason Sparks; great grandchild, Peyton Grace Hylton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, June 22, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of her sister, Kay Outen, 1892 Poole Town Road, Asheboro, NC.
