Doris Isom

Mrs. Doris Marie Thompson Isom, 84, of Ramseur, NC, died Monday, June 18, 2012, at her residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 7:00 pm Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at West Asheboro Church of God. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, June 21, 2012. Rev. Matt Gunter will be officiating. A native of Stanly County, NC, Mrs. Isom was born October 26, 1927. She was the daughter of the late William Paul Thompson and Magolonia Whitely Thompson. She was a member of West Asheboro Church of God and was retired from Prestige Fabricators. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Isom is survived by her husband, R.W. Isom, of the home; daughters, Caroline Duke, of Greenville, SC, P.J. Mills, of Albemarle, NC; sons, Bill McIntyre, of Randleman, NC, Gene McIntyre of Raleigh, NC, Butch McIntyre, Richard Isom, both of Ramseur, NC; sister, Lois Davis, of Asheboro, NC; brother, Wayne Thompson, of Asheboro, NC; 12 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, numerous great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at West Asheboro Church of God and other times at the home.
