Doris "Jackie" Freeman

Mrs. Doris Jacqueline Kennedy Freeman, 88, of Asheboro, NC, died Monday, August 26, 2013, at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 28, 2013, in the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joe Farlow officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Freeman was born August 19, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Benizer Parsons and Beatrice Wright Parsons. She was also of the Methodist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Bruce Kennedy. Mrs. Freeman is survived by her husband, Joseph Freeman, of Asheboro; daughters, Brenda Gail Gallimore, of Asheboro, NC, Doris Kennedy Jones, of Winston Salem, NC; sons, Ronnie Kennedy, Steve Kennedy, C.W. Kennedy, all of Asheboro, NC; 12 Grandchildren; and 14 Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home.
