Doris Eichelberger

Doris Marie Snyder Eichelberger, 78, of Asheboro, NC, died suddenly on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. A memorial dinner for her family and friends will be at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2015 in the fellowship hall at First United Methodist Church. At 6:30 p.m. a memorial service will be held in the sanctuary with Rev. Lynda Ferguson officiating. Mrs. Eichelberger was born June 5, 1936 in Philadelphia, PA., the daughter of the late Sylvester and Elsie Komand Snyder. She had retired from AT&T after 20 years of service. Mrs. Eichelberger was a member of First United Methodist Church. She loved her church and the Lord. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and volunteering. Survivors include her husband, William "Bill" Eichelberger; sister, Alice Leach, of Charlotte, NC; sons, Edwin Brockmeyer and wife, Marcia, Bryan Brockmeyer, John Brockmeyer and wife, Debbie, David Brockmeyer and wife, Sandra; stepdaughters, Wendy Eichelberger, Sheryl Hoch; stepsons, William Eichelberger, Daniel Eichelberger; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and her best friend, "Molly".
