Doris Craven

Doris Anne Craven, 71, of Seagrove, NC, died Monday, June 12, 2017 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet, SC. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am, Friday, June 16, 2017, at Union Grove Baptist Church, Seagrove. Officiating will be Dr. Brent Tysinger and Dr. Ron Chaney. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph Co., Ms. Craven was born February 24, 1946, the daughter of the late Weldon "Brack" and Pearl Coltrane Craven. She was a 1964 graduate of Westmoore High School. She was retired from the Randolph County Schools and had worked for 25 years at Black & Decker where she was a member of the Black & Decker Qualiteers. She was a 5th generation potter and loved being "Nana" to all her grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter, Lori Lambeth Brady and husband, Mike, of Robbins; sons, Eric Lambeth and wife, Joyce, Chad Lambeth and wife, Crystal, all of Asheboro, brothers, Weldon L. Craven and wife, Nora, of Seagrove, Kelly B. Craven and wife, Pam, of Bennett; grandchildren, Meghan Brady, Dylan Brady, Caden Pope, Kara Lambeth, Sophie Lambeth, Brodie Lambeth, Cheyenne Lambeth, Kendall Lambeth, Rebecca Lambeth, Hannah Lambeth, and Braxton Lambeth. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro.
