Dora Luther Marion

Mrs. Dora Jewel Luther Marion, 86, of Archdale, NC, took her last journey home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 5, 2011, at the Hospice Home in High Point. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Garland Hall and Dr. Richard H. Capps officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Marion was born March 13, 1924. She was the daughter of the late James Franklin Luther and Hattie Cox Luther. She was a loving wife, great mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Sylvia Spoon, Vallie Hoover, brothers, Colon Luther, Steve Luther, Clarence Luther, James Luther; and grandson, James "Chubby"� Jones. Mrs. Marion is survived by her husband, Beachel Jennings "B.J."� Marion; daughter, Faye Marion Hubbard and husband, Kenneth, of Troy, Pat Marion Charles, of Lexington; sons, Beachel Dean Marion and wife, Bonnie, of Troy, Bobby Marion, of Troy, Earlie Marion and wife, Carol, of Archdale; grandchildren, Scotty Marion and wife, Tracey, of Randleman, Beverly Snider and husband, Mark, of Lexington, Johnny Marion and wife, Brenda, of Randleman, Jeffrey Charles, of Myrtle Beach, SC, Michael Marion and wife, Jenny, of Asheboro, Kim Moorefield and husband, Brandon, of Lexington, Doug Marion, Derrick Marion and wife, Carmen, of Archdale, Dawn Jones, of Trinity, Renee Markham, of High Point; 24 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm Monday, February 7, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
