Donnie Buffkin

Donnie Richard Buffkin, 81, of Randleman, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at his home.

Donnie was born in Columbus County, NC, the son of the late Clayton Roy Buffkin and Hazel Neal Norris Buffkin. He was a proud truck driver and had a passion for working on cars. Known to many as the “The World Famous, Donnie Buffkin,” he had a personality that left a lasting impression on those who knew him. Donnie loved his family dearly, and his grandchildren were the pride and joy of his life. He was a proud Pawpaw and Poppy who cherished every moment spent with them. Always willing to lend a helping hand, Donnie was someone others could count on.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.

Donnie is survived by his sons, William “Dexter” Buffkin (April), Rick Buffkin (Jennifer); grandchildren, Jordan Huffman (Chad), Chelsey Buffkin (Matthew), Kyle Buffkin, Shane Buffkin; great grandchild, Oaklyn Wilson, and 6 brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2026, at Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Jeff Jones, Sam "Red' Nolan, and Ken Parker for being a true friend and always being there for Donnie.
