Donald J. Mehall

Mr. Donald Joseph Mehall, 76, of 2421 Old NC Highway 49, Asheboro, NC, died Friday, August 13, 2010, at Randolph Hospital Inc., Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. A native of Scranton, PA, Mr. Mehall was born April 8, 1934, the son of the late John and Susan Kuhar Mehall. He was the owner and operator of Mehall's Service & Grocery on Old Farmer Road, Asheboro, and had served in the US Army. Survivors include his wife, Gisela K. Mehall, of the home; daughter,Barbara Wagner and husband, Charlie, of Hannibal, NY, Christine Laur and husband, Jerry, of Asheboro, Kimberly Mehall, of Asheboro; sons, Klaus Dieter Keith, of Asheboro, Daniel Mehall and wife, Patti, of Concord, David Mehall and wife, Jan, of Bennett, Dennis Mehall and wife, Roberta, of Asheboro; sister, Jean Kelmenski, of Scranton, PA; eighteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 7 until 9 pm on Tuesday, August 17, 2010, and other times at the home.
