Donald Hodge

Donald Lee Hodge, 75, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 24, 2016, at Covenant Christian Church with Rev. Lois Johnson officiating. Military honors will be provided by The Randolph County Honor Guard immediately following the service. Burial will be at Randolph Memorial Park at a later date. Born June 28, 1941 in Omaha, NE, Mr. Hodge was the son of the late William and Laura Hodge. He was a member of Covenant Christian Church. Mr. Hodge retired as the custodian for First United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ruth Hodge. Mr. Hodge is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sue Hodge of the home; daughter, Heather Hodge of the home; son, Scott Hodge of Franklinville; sister-in-law, Cynthia Blackburn of Asheboro; brother, Amos Hodge of Independence MO; granddaughter, Josie Terry; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 23, 2016 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Covenant Christian Church, 1565 E.
