Donald W. Hamilton

Donald Weston Hamilton, 87, of Asheboro, died Saturday, May 9, 2020, at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Don was born on July 14, 1932, in Randolph Co., to the late Deward Weston Hamilton and Maxine Lyles Hamilton. He had retired as a quailty control engineer and shift supervisor from General Electric after more than 30 years of service. Mr. Hamilton served in the U.S. Marines in the post Korean War era. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his sisters, Diane Keene and Doris Rich. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Hamilton of the home; sons, Mike Hamilton and wife Venus of Trinity, Greg Hamilton and wife Judy of Asheboro; grandchildren, Sam Hamilton and wife Lauri, Rebecca Hauser and husband Spencer, Josh Hamilton; great granchildren, Ginny Hauser and Lane Hauser. Due to restrictions on group gatherings, an informal graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., at Oaklawn Cemetery with Rev. Richard Lohman officiating.
