Donald Huston Brown

Donald Huston "Tractor Man" Brown, 70, of 1331 Pine Hill Road, Asheboro, NC, died Thursday, February 11, 2010, at his home. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 14, 2010, at Hill Top Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born on September 2, 1939, in Randolph County, Mr. Brown was the son of the late Hugh T. Brown, Jr. and Ruth Tyson Brown. He was retired from Esco Industries and he was a diesel mechanic and truck driver. He was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid fisherman and he loved the Outer Banks. Surviving are his wife, Ruby Williamson Brown, of the home, sons, Johnny Brown and wife, Lorraine, Randy Brown and girlfriend, Dawn, all of Asheboro; nephew, Gary Brown, and several cousins. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2010, and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hill Top Baptist Church, 826 Crestview Church Road, Asheboro, NC 27205.
