Donald Boling, Sr.

Donald Olen Boling, Sr., 84, of Asheboro, NC, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at his residence.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 18, 2026, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, 908 Albemarle Road, Asheboro, with Pastor Jon Shook officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.

A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Boling was the son of the late George Howard Boling and Emma Martha Vickory Boling. He had proudly served in the US Navy for 24 years, three years during the Vietnam War. 18 Military Service Awards were presented to Mr. Boling for his outstanding performances while service. He then worked for the NC Department of Corrections in Troy, retiring after 20 years.

Mr. Boling was loving, kind, and very supportive, always there for his family. He was also a huge auto enthusiast.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Boling was preceded in death by his brother, Cleo Boling, and sister-in-law, Sue Boling.

Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Etsuko "Amy" Boling of the home; son, Donald Olen Boling, Jr., (Scarlett) of Asheboro; sisters, Yvonne Deaton (Joe), Janice Brown (David), all of Randleman; brother, Charles Boling, of Randleman; sister-in-law, Rita Boling of Randleman; grandchildren, Brandy Auman (Brian) of Winnabow, NC, Joshua Boling (Breana) of Milton, FL; great grandchildren, Emma Auman, Peyton Auman, and Reagan Boling.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Ridge Funeral Home.
