Don Pugh

Mr. Robert Donald Pugh, 54, of Seagrove, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 12, 2011, at his residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 4:00 pm Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at New Center Christian Church with the Rev. Graham Chriscoe, Rev. Lacy Parks and Rev. Jimmy Shirlen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. A native of Randolph County, NC, and veteran of the US Army, Mr. Pugh was born August 10, 1956. He was the son of the late Robert Lee and Maggie Richardson Pugh. Don was a wonderful husband, father, Paw Paw, brother and friend to everyone he came in contact with. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman and loved NASCAR racing. He was a loving and compassionate man who loved spending time with his family and taking them on vacations. He was a man of great qualities and had helped a lot of people during his life. He loved truck driving at Just-Kris Distribution and doing mechanic work. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pugh was preceded in death by his brother, Bickett Pugh, and his Mother-In-Law, Ansil Brown. Mr. Pugh is survived by his wife, Sherry Brown Pugh, of the home; son, Clint Pugh, of the home, and his fiancé, Candace Floyd, of Denton, NC; daughter, Heather Parrish and husband, Chris, of Seagrove, NC; grandchildren, Cohlman Jarrell, Nauttica Parrish, Forrest Parrish, Kaylie Parrish, all of Seagrove, NC, brothers, Sam Pugh, of Laurinburg, NC, Larry Pugh, of High Falls, NC, Ed Pugh, Pete Pugh, Joe Pugh, Chris Pugh, all of Asheboro, NC; sisters, Pat Corder, Diane Hill, Jo Ann Brooks, all of Asheboro, NC; father-in-law, Bill Brown, of Seagrove, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Monday, February 14, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
