Mr. Michelle was born March 29, 1931 in North Wilkesboro. As a young child he went to live at Barium Springs Home for Children. After graduation he served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He graduated from Pfeiffer College and did his graduate work at UNC-Chapel Hill.
