Mr. Dennis Owen Sirois, 68, of Asheboro, NC, died Sunday, October 14, 2012, at Randolph Hospital. A memorial graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 am Thursday, October 18, 2012, at Randolph Memorial Park with Chaplain Ed Conner officiating. A native of Somerset County, ME, Mr. Sirois was born August 15, 1944. He was the son of the late Philip Sirois and Regina Rose Richards Sirois. He was instrumental in obtaining a charter for Boy Scout Troop 227 in Norridgewock, Maine in 1957. He graduated from Madison Memorial High School in 1963. The same year he enlisted in the United States Army Corp of Engineers. Mr. Sirois served in Thailand, Okinawa and Vietnam as a heavy equipment mechanic. Throughout his life he worked as a truck driver, fleet mechanic and a carpenter. He really loved being a carpenter and making things. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and was a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment Rights. On July 18, 1970, he married Bettina Brackett of Stratton, Maine. He will be sadly missed by his wife and all who he loved dearly. Mr. Sirois is survived by his wife, Bettina Brackett Sirois, of the home; sisters, Doreana Thibeault, of Skowhean, ME, Roselie Powers, of Skowhean, ME; brothers, David Sirois, of Ithaca, NY, and Richard Sirois, of Norridgewock, ME.
