Delma Trogdon

Mrs. Delma Vie Martin Trogdon, 90, of Asheboro, NC, died Sunday, January 1, 2012, at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, January 5, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Wagner officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Richmond, VA, Mrs. Trogdon was born November 26, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Coy Edgar Martin and Northa Viola Deaton Martin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn T. McMurinn; sister, Mary Martin Reece; brother, Dewey Martin; and her husband, James Paul Trogdon Sr. Mrs. Trogdon is survived by sons, Gary Trogdon and wife, Julia, of Asheboro, NC, Paul Trogdon and wife, Margie, of Asheboro, NC, Samuel Trogdon and wife, Ann, of Seagrove, NC; daughter, Marilyn Suttle and husband, Earle, of Hickory, NC; brother, Joe Martin and wife, Judy, of Lyman, SC; 16 Grandchildren; 3 Step-Grandchildren; 24 Great Grandchildren; 6 Step-Great Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great Grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home.
