Lillian Dell Perdue, 80, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Brookdale Senior Living in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 26, 2015, at Flag Springs United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with Rev. Barry Queen and Raiford Brown officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A native of Elizabethtown, Mrs. Perdue was born December 20, 1934 to the late James Iver Kemp, Sr. and Lillian Maedee Yandle Kemp. After 28 years, she retired from the public school system as a librarian. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Perdue was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Perdue; and her brother, James Iver "Jimmy" Kemp, Jr. She is survived by her uncle, Fletcher Kemp and wife, Eleanor of Elizabethtown; nephew, Tony Kemp; great nephew, Braydon Kemp; great niece, Taylor Paige Kemp; cousins, Wilbur Ward, Toby Yandle, John Ward, Lislie Allen, Jean Morgan, David Yandle, Bonnie Hodges, Alma Jackson, Alfreda Kemp and Orrie Lee Kemp. The family will receive friends following the service at the church fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to Flag Springs United Methodist Church, 5852 Zoo Parkway, Asheboro, NC 27205.
