Delia "Dee" Holland

Mrs. Delia "Dee" Alametia Carter Holland, 83, of Asheboro, NC, died Sunday, August 25, 2013, at The Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Thursday, August 29, 2013, at the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Charles T. Reeder officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Christian Church Cemetery in Bennett. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Holland was born August 18, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Peter Carter and Lovie Jane Brady Carter. She enjoyed her flowers, reading her bible and was a loving woman. She loved NASCAR and the Atlanta Braves. Mrs. Holland is survived by her daughter, Ellen McIntyre, of Asheboro, NC; grandchild, Darren McDowell and wife, Crystal, of St. Louis, MO; great grandchildren, Addison McDowell, David McDowell, both of St. Louis, NC; nephew, Louis Maness, of Abilene, TX. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm Thursday, August 29, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home.
