Deborah Tysinger

May 16, 1957 — April 18, 2020

Deborah Elaine Hunt Tysinger, age 62, passed away at Crystal Coast Hospice House on Saturday, April 18th, 2020, after a hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born May 16th, 1957, in Asheboro to Ray and Dot Hunt. She married her husband Johnny Tysinger on September 28th, 1976 and together raised their three children in Farmer. Deb worked many jobs over the years but the role she is most remembered for was mother and homemaker. She was self-sufficient and believed in living a simple life. She loved to garden, she sewed beautiful dresses and curtains, knitted baskets full of scarves and toboggans, and even canned her own food. She gave freely, was always humble, and loved being in nature. She was a natural care-giver, caring for all God's creatures big and small. Deb cared deeply about the environment, wanting nothing more than to leave as small an impact on the Earth as possible. But for the ones who knew her best, she left a huge impact. Always learning new things, she had a beautiful mind that always had a unique perspective on life and was always eager to share her knowledge with others. Deb is survived by her husband of 44 years, Johnny Tysinger, her three children, Terri (Will) Ashby of Cape Carteret, Mark Tysinger of Swansboro, David (Rose) Tysinger of Charlotte, her mother, Sadie "Dot" Hunt of Asheboro, her sisters, Emma Lou (Marlin) Lovingood of Thomasville, Patty (James) Benfield of Asheboro, Kathy (Bobby) Surratt of Asheboro, Patricia (Tommy) Maness of Franklinville, Rhonda (George) Saunders of Asheboro, her brothers, Jackie (Cindy) Hunt of Farmer, Billy (Belinda) Hunt of Asheboro, David (Pat) Hunt of Asheboro, Richard Hunt of Asheboro, Dale Hunt of Asheboro, and her grandchildren Clay Ashby, Sally Ashby, and Daniel Cui Tysinger; along with many nieces and nephews. There was a private graveside service at Mt. Pleasant Community Church Cemetery in Trinity on Tuesday, April 21st, 2020. The service was conducted by Pastor Ty Thompson and Evangelist/Brother-in-Law James Benfield. In lieu of flowers her children ask that you plant a tree or garden in her memory.
