Dean Brooks

Michael Dean Brooks, 66, of Asheboro, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2015 at his home. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rob Brooks officiating. A balloon release will be held following the service. A native of Stanly County, Mr. Brooks was born November 25, 1948 to the late Woodrow and Stella Brooks. He graduated from Western Carolina University and attended Foster Street Wesleyan Church. Mr. Brooks loved his family and was a fan of Triumph TR-6 cars. He also enjoyed horses and motorcycles. Mr Brooks is survived by his partner, Vickie Teague of the home, brother, Bob Brooks and wife, Frances of Conover; nephew, Rob Brooks and wife, Andrea of West Jefferson; and extended family. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Foster Street Wesleyan Church, 214 Foster St., Asheboro, NC 27205.
