Dawn Sheffield

Dawn Marie Mincey Sheffield, 53, of Asheboro, died Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at Mountain View Independent Methodist Church Cemetery, Asheboro, with Rev. Clint Kearns officiating. Mrs. Sheffied was a resident of Asheboro, but grew up in Star. She was a loving mother and made friends with everyone she met. She was dedicated member of Mountain View Independent Methodist Church. She served as secretary of the Ladies Sharing Circle and coordinated food for The Jesus and Me program. She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Eunice McLester Britt and Larry Wayne Britt; granddaughter, Reba Lynn Marie Ryan; and brother, Tony Britt. Surviving are her sons, A. J. Ryan (Rebeca) of Star, Brandon Sheffield (Taylor) of Asheboro; dad, Curtis Cagle and wife Linda of Star; sisters, Lisa Cutshaw (Dean) of Asheboro, Pamela Morris (Kenneth) of Grand Island, NE; brother, Michael Britt (Barbara) of Asheboro; grandchild, Hudson Lee Sheffield. Mrs. Sheffield will lie in state from 11:00 until 1:00 p.m., January 27, 2021, at Ridge Funeral Home prior to the service.
